Solar farms on the balconies of buildings in Venezuela

Germany, the most stable and fastest growing economy in Europe, leader of the group of 8, that is, of the 8 most developed nations in the West, begins in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with about 1.6 million inhabitants, a strategic incentive program for all those families that place solar panels on the balconies of their residences.

This program seeks to encourage the deployment of home photovoltaic installations. Its objective is that those who decide to fix solar modules or panels on their balconies, terraces or facades, can do so without having to make significant outlays for their acquisition and placement. They do not require authorization and the government gives them an incentive of $600 per installation.

According to the report of the technical magazine Xataka dated September 5, 2022. .."The initiative of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to encourage photovoltaic installations in homes comes in a very special context: at the gates of winter, in the midst of the crisis of the Russian gas and while the country sees how the price of electricity rises to record values".

Thus, Germany initiates immediate measures to face the historic energy crisis and seeks to protect itself by placing solar panels on the balconies of its residential sector.

In the Venezuelan case, where power cuts are advancing dramatically due to the sensitivity of their generation and the precariousness of the national electricity distribution network today, it is urgent to act creatively, boldly, breaking the reactive management scheme, to move forward with immediate and successful solutions.

Germany, through its photovoltaic balcony program, requests to place at least 2 solar panels for each balcony or facade of the house and that they guarantee at least 600 watts of installed power. In Venezuela, we should place those same 2 panels but with a power of no less than 1000 watts, enough to supply basic consumption at the time of any electrical contingency.

If Germany takes these actions to protect itself from the energy crisis that is coming, I ask: why not us too, if we already have it?

I use the simile of a garden, which many have on their balconies, where they plant vegetables, flowers or ornamental plants, to express that with those 2 solar panels on our balconies we can also "cultivate" watts... those watts that we need to ensure our energetic quality of life.
