Solar panels at night

Even though it remains an experimental proposal, researchers at Stanford and Berkeley Universities in the USA have made measurable progress in creating solar panels that charge energy even in the dark, which seeks to radically streamline the creation of usable energy through the sun.

To do this, they have created solar cells that will allow the generation of energy even at night, since they are designed to take advantage of almost the entire spectrum of the sun, even when it is not visible in a place at night.

The proposal involves adapting a thermoelectric generator to the solar panel. In this way, they can vary the temperature of the surface of the panel with respect to that of the environment. Taking advantage of the difference between the temperature of the solar panel and the heat of the air so that this heat is received by the solar panel and thus converted into electricity.
